A dozen ports await on this full circle journey through Japan.
Depart from Tokyo, the largest metropolitan area in the world, en-route to Hakodate, a city nestled under the vast 334m-high Mount Hakodate.
With an extended stay, you’ll have time to hop on a short cable car ride up to the summit station to take in the glorious night view. Enjoy a late stay in port, then get ready for three action-packed days exploring the medieval city of Akita, the samurai district of Kanazawa, and the fishing port of Sakaiminato.
Extended stays in Busan and Kitakyushu mean you can take your time touring the Bulguksa Temple, a UNESCO World Cultural Asset, and take a leisurely stroll in the Kawachi Wisteria Garden, complete with two 100-meter-long tunnels draped in vibrant wisteria flowers.
The second half of your voyage takes you to the thriving port of Hiroshima, where you can explore Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine that at high tide, appears as if it’s floating on the waves. Relax onboard as you spend a day cruising the Inland Sea, then prepare to travel up, up, up the Kobe Port Tower for a magnificent view of this bustling port, famous for the beef that bears its name. We’ll be staying overnight, giving you ample time to enjoy a feast in this delicious destination.
Your final adventure brings you to Mount Fuji: a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Special Place of Scenic Beauty, and one of Japan’s official Historic Sites.
Stand in awe of this sacred place and reflect on your journey to this point before your return to Tokyo the following day.
