From modern metropolises to simple seaside fishing villages, Japan is a diverse and breathtaking place. And you’ll have the opportunity to see nearly all of it on your two-week cruise navigating around the country, beginning in Tokyo.
As you embark on your cruise, you’ll spend a day at sea before arriving in Aomori, home of the Hakkoda Mountains. From Aomori, you’ll sail to Akita, and pay a visit to the Kakunodate Samurai District.
Kanazawa and Sakaiminato are next on your journey, followed by an extended late-night stay in Busan, South Korea where you can spend your day with your toes in the sand at Haeundae, South Korea’s most popular beach. From South Korea, your voyage will return to Japan and the ports of Kitakyushu and Hiroshima. Then it’s back on board for a day cruising the Inland Sea followed by a trip to Takamatsu.
An overnight stay in Kobe is next on your itinerary, which affords you a chance to sample delicious sake from the breweries in the Nada district. And what better way to complement sake than with a delicious piece of Kobe beef served at a teppanyaki restaurant? After your meal, head to the Rokko mountains on the Shin-Kobe Ropeway for unbelievable views of the city—especially once the sun goes down.
After your exciting overnight in Kobe, you’ll sail into Suruga Bay toward the port of Shimizu, where breathtaking views of Mount Fuji await. Once docked in Shimizu, be sure to visit Miho-no-Matsubara, a beautiful park with more than 30,000 pine trees lining the seashore. Here, you’ll experience calming tranquility before returning for an overnight in Tokyo with memories to last a lifetime.
