Australia’s first game against Fiji kicks off in the northern city of Sapporo on Saturday 21st September. We have rooms available in central downtown hotels which provide very convenient access to the stadium.
Sapporo is the largest city in the northernmost main island of Hokkaido, with a population of 1.9 million.
Sapporo is blessed with harmony of the natural landscape and a bustling city and is famous for it’s local delicacies, such as ramen noodles and Genghis Khan (grilled mutton), as well as their tourist attractions, including Odori Park and the Sapporo Clock Tower.
On Friday 11th October, Australia plays Georgia at Shizuoka Stadium Ecopa. Long known among Japanese as one of the most scenic areas in the country, Shizuoka combines access to the iconic beauty of Mt. Fuji and the exquisite hot springs resorts of the Izu Peninsula along the Pacific coast, and has historically been a popular holiday and tourism destination.
Located about 2 hours by bullet train south of Tokyo, Shizuoka is nestled among green, verdant hills and looking out across famous tea plantations.
Japan Holidays are holding accommodation for the Australia v’s Georgia game in Shizuoka in nearby Hammamastu, as well as some rooms in Tokyo for various dates. Please check with your Japan Holidays consultant for availability.
