Let’s enjoy springtime in Japan’s Riviera – Shizuoka Prefecture located along the Pacific Coast south of Tokyo.

This area is home to the 3,776m iconic Mt Fuji which can be climbed in season from July to early September.

Tea is the prefecture’s most famous product. The foothills of Mt Fuji abound in sightseeing spots like the ancient Fujisan Hongu Sengen Shrine and the Shiraito and Otodome waterfalls.

Further south is the famous Izu Peninsula with beaches such as Shimoda and hot spring resorts to enjoy.
