Cherry blossom time in Japan is one of the most popular times to visit and discover Japan, however, the seasons’ popularity can leave some travellers a little overwhelmed by the number of tourists also eager to experience Japan in areas like Tokyo and Kyoto.
The Tohoku region is the perfect solution as few tourists venture north, allowing us to experience Japan as it was before the tourist boom.
This tour is a wonderful mixture of Samurai history and culture with the beautiful Sakura cherry blossoms as the backdrop to our journey. We visit World Heritage sites, a magnificent castle, walk along picturesque lakes, and through an old Post Town and preserved Samurai village.
