Tokyo’s largest illumination event

Only 15 minutes away by train from Shinagawa Station – one of Tokyo’s busiest stations – is the hidden and off-the-tourist-radar Oi district.

In addition to its proximity to both Shinagawa and Haneda Airport, the area boasts the extensive Oi Racecourse (Oikeibajo)  –  a horse racing facility that transforms in winter into an illumoination wonderland.

The Tokyo Mega Illumi is the largest illumination event in metropolitan Tokyo with millions of LED bulbs lighting up the night.

Have your photo taken with an adorable miniature pony, travel back in time and enjoy light displays modeled on the Edo, Meiji, Taisho and Showa periods in Japanese history, enjoy a delicious matcha green tea flavored tiramisu and watch an amazing projection mapping display.

The illumination event takes place from 4.30pm to 9pm (last entry 8.30pm).
