Cannot thank you enough for your Japan travel expertise Judy, you thought of every detail to make our trip as perfect as ever. Particularly as we booked late your planning was next level to cover all our requests. Our guides were exceptional and shared local knowledge of their home towns that we would never have experienced without them. Much gratitude from all of us.

We had a lovely trip to Japan which was made considerably easier by yourself. You saved us considerable time not having to organise accommodation, train and event tickets ourselves  – everything you organised for us from pickup at Narita airport to green car train tickets, guide meeting us for Sumo training etc went exactly as you organised.

All accommodation was very good - The Celestine Kyoto Gion was beautiful – their breakfast was amazing and the hotels location was perfect for exploring Kyoto.

At the snow The Naeba Prince Hotel rooms were very large with a big window that looked straight out onto the snow field. Unfortunately, the snow wasn’t brilliant, but we knew this was likely before we went – boys still managed to snowboard every day. Always the way the day we left the sky was blue and all the lifts were opened. Just have to go back again.

The Park Hotel was in a good location and the view of the Tower from our room was good – we even had a good view of Mt Fuji from the hotel lobby the day we left for the snow.

We enjoyed the Sumo training and Team Lab was well worth visiting  – thank you so much for these suggestions.

Overall Noriko a great trip and we certainly will be using Japan Holidays to organise our next Japan trip – hopefully same time this year.

We just wanted to say thank you so much for all your hard work putting together our Japan holiday- we've just returned, and we had a great time!! Everything was so well thought out, selected and organised. I loved how we got to explore all the craftsmanship culture of Japan, and learn from the masters of traditional crafts in their own workshops. It was such a special experience that we just wouldn't get from a big commercial tour! It was so good not to have to think about all the little things like train timings, hotel selections etc, it made it a real holiday for us.
Thank you so much again for all your hard work, we had a lovely time and are looking forward to going back again!!

This is the second time I’ve used Judy and her team, and once again the service was excellent. They took care of all the endless searching for hotels and the best deals, which saved so many hours in the lead-up to the trip. Having one central point of contact for everything made the entire process seamless, rather than the very painstaking task of managing all the details myself. Their expert local knowledge meant the hotels were excellent, and all our preferences for activities and experiences were carefully considered and met. Even while we were on the trip, when I had a minor question about luggage forwarding, my email was responded to promptly. The whole experience was smooth and stress-free, and I would happily use them again and highly recommend them.

Thank you Juliane for planning another wonderful holiday in Japan. As you know this is our third trip courtesy of Japan Holidays. Your organisation skills have been faultless. Your earlier advice on where to visit in Kyushu and Shikoku has paid off handsomely in terms of great experiences and enjoyment. The accommodation was also great with a wide variety on offer. While we were sort of glad to get back to a western style bed towards the end of the trip, we missed the atmosphere of the Japanese style inns and ryokans including their friendly and attentive service, attention to detail and of course the delightful Kaiseki multi course meals that were on offer for dinner and breakfast.

We would like to again express our deep appreciation for all the planning you have put in on our behalf. It has been an absolute pleasure working with you and steering us in the right direction on what has been another marvellous Japan experience. Thank you.

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 week trip to Japan, which was expertly and highly professionally put together by Juliane.

From the get go Juliane understood what we were wanting from the trip, and she met the brief perfectly.

No question or query was too much trouble for her, from the transfers, to the tour guides, to the Shinkansen tickets, to the restaurant recommendations and most importantly to the hotels, which were all so centrally located.

The result was that we were able to really engage with the culture, the people and the magnificent scenery. We would change nothing about our trip and cannot thank Juliane and Japan Holidays enough.

When we asked Juliane to help us with our holiday she spent a lot of time educating us about Japan and gave us comprehensive advice about where to go and what to do.

As a result our holiday was much more than we could ever have expected.

We visited places recommended by Juliane that we would never have gone to and which will never be forgotten.

Juliane's attention to every detail included suggesting and booking restaurants and arranging travel inside Japan with tickets and detailed instructions how to navigate the Japanese transport system.

Juliane was available 24/7 when were in Japan and we relied on her to help us quite a few times, which was invaluable.

I can not recommend Tony and the team more highly. From the first email they have been incredibly responsive and kind. The team have a deep knowledge of Japan and knew exactly what we were wanting from our holiday. We had the best time, the entire trip was perfect!!

No other destination quite like Japan for food, history, culture and sights.  Best of all the people.

Japan Holidays put together an action-packed itinerary where we sampled an amazing variety of 9 destinations for three and a half weeks– not one disappointed.

Over 20 train trips plus subway, were efficient and relatively easy to catch and make connections.  Must have reserved seats to avoid crowds.

Daily guides were first class. Punctual, informative and absolutely delightful.

Hotels were very good. However, the room at the Intergate Hotel in Kyoto was very uncomfortable due to dark and claustrophobic frosted windows. For this reason, I could not recommend it.

You must sample Ryokans and Onsens for the most wonderful Japanese experience.

Suggest carry-on luggage as space, especially trains can be at a premium. Also, for ease going up and down stairs where escalators are not available.

The AXUS Travel App that Japan Holidays use and share with you is fantastic.  This includes your itinerary, documents and messaging capabilities and can update any changes that may occur en route.  It takes all the pain out of taking paperwork.
