I can not recommend Tony and the team more highly. From the first email they have been incredibly responsive and kind. The team have a deep knowledge of Japan and knew exactly what we were wanting from our holiday. We had the best time, the entire trip was perfect!!

No other destination quite like Japan for food, history, culture and sights.  Best of all the people.

Japan Holidays put together an action-packed itinerary where we sampled an amazing variety of 9 destinations for three and a half weeks– not one disappointed.

Over 20 train trips plus subway, were efficient and relatively easy to catch and make connections.  Must have reserved seats to avoid crowds.

Daily guides were first class. Punctual, informative and absolutely delightful.

Hotels were very good. However, the room at the Intergate Hotel in Kyoto was very uncomfortable due to dark and claustrophobic frosted windows. For this reason, I could not recommend it.

You must sample Ryokans and Onsens for the most wonderful Japanese experience.

Suggest carry-on luggage as space, especially trains can be at a premium. Also, for ease going up and down stairs where escalators are not available.

The AXUS Travel App that Japan Holidays use and share with you is fantastic.  This includes your itinerary, documents and messaging capabilities and can update any changes that may occur en route.  It takes all the pain out of taking paperwork.

I tried to call a couple of times when we got back but later found out you were also away. I hope you had a nice break.

The girls and i loved the guides you organised and found all the hotels really nice. I particularly liked the onsen at the dormy inn but overall our favourite was the intergate at Kyoto. It was very clean, comfortable, friendly and great breakfasts.. We LOVED Kyoto.

The holiday went way to quickly unfortunately…All i think about now is going back !

Once again thank you for all your and Tonys help making our amazing family holiday happen.

Japan Holidays — and in particular Juliane — helped organise our recent work trip. I couldn't fault Juliane or her planning; accommodation, meals, and transport were all seamlessly arranged, making our trip incredibly smooth and stress-free.

I would happily use and recommend Juliane again!

Five stars simply does not do justice to what our group has just experienced on a 2 week adventure in Japan.

We were a group of 8 who had never travelled to Japan before on a holiday (a couple of quick in/out business trips by 2 of the guys). We had absolutely NO clue what to expect on getting ourselves around central Japan jumping on and off trains every couple of days. Not once did we need 'in-country' handholding because Judy and Anthony were on every detail, every train ticket, every guide, every hotel check-in, every road transfer and every museum ticket every step of the way.

I have been running safari lodges, hotels and travel in Africa and India for the past 40 years and I know just how easy it is to mess up. Japan is an incredible destination but it is also quite unusual (starting with language differences) but not once did we feel uncomfortable. The hotels were spotless, the guides excellent and the trip planning perfect.

2 weeks of galavanting from bullet train to bullet train we felt like locals.

Top 5 trip of my life - and I would return to japan in a heartbeat .... but only with Judy and Anthony and Japan Holidays.

Hi Juliane- back home in Perth after an unforgettable holiday. We really appreciate the time and planning that went into it working so seamlessly, whilst allowing us time to arrange our own daily activities in the cities. We were blessed with just one rainy day in Tokyo, but a great excuse to visit galleries - though the great weather enabled a lot more walking than perhaps we expected! But we managed to cram so much in, and so many highlights (and hiking achievements!) Just wanted to say a huge thanks for organising such a memorable, yet easy, trip for us.

Daiwa Roynet Hotel Hiroshima - Excellent location and amenities. Very pleased with this hotel.

Shiba Park Hotel - Exceptional quality and comfort. Lovely location in Tokyo and proximity to station, restaurants etc. Staff superb.

Takayama - Superb! Our guide Akane was fantastic. Vehicle was very comfortable. Driver was excellent. Tour locations perfect as per our brief.

Takayama to Kyoto via some Gifu Prefecture's rural towns, including the Sekigahara Battlefield. Absolutely fantastic. Just as I required. Driver was wonderful.

Kyoto - Exceptional! Our guide Shige was fantastic. Vehicle was very comfortable. Driver was excellent. Tour locations perfect as per our brief. Lunch was AMAZING!

Tokyo - Superb! Our guide Yuriko was wonderful. Vehicle was very comfortable. Driver was excellent. Tour locations perfect. Yuriko suggested various location changes during our pre-tour briefing that turned out to be just fabulous (e.g. Flower-viewing at "Shinjuku Park" for flowering cherry blossoms; Lunch at Harajuku; attending a Buddhist ceremony)
