Hakuba

Since hosting the 1998 Nagano Winter Olympics, Hakuba Valley has been an increasingly popular travel destination for people from all over the world.

The Hakuba valley is located deep within the Japanese Alps inside Nagano Prefecture.

The valley incorporates 10 ski resorts, over 200 runs, 139 lifts, huge towering peaks, a local village, ski /snowboard shops, a combination of traditional or western dining and Apres entertainment. This is the heart and soul of snow sports in Japan and played host to many events during the 1998 winter Olympics including, downhill skiing, ski jumping and the super G.

Take your time and cruise leisurely down beginner runs, up to 8 km long. With beginner and intermediate slopes, terrain parks, moguls, and steeps, there is something for every level of snow sports enthusiast in the Hakuba Valley.

The Hakuba Valley offers a free shuttle bus service. Every area has its own hub where one can change buses to access any of the 10 alpine resorts.
