
Day 1: Tokyo to Nakazawa
Transfer from Tokyo to Kanazawa, capital city of Ishikawa prefecture by Hokuriku Shinkansen bullet train. You’ll be welcomed by the huge wooden gate at Kanazawa Station. This area is the base of this rail tour of Hokuriku.

Day 2: Kanazawa
Kanazawa flourished during the Edo era as a castle town, we can visit and experience the historical scape and architecture, fresh seafood arrived from the nearby port and traditional craftworks that were the leading industry of this city in the Edo era. Kenroku-en Garden is classified as one of the three greatest traditional gardens in Japan. In Kanazawa Castle, you can learn about the history of Kanazawa by visiting historical architecture. Also, Kanazawa is known for gold, handicrafts or snacks with gold are popular souvenirs.

Day 3: Kurobe Gorge (Toyama)
We will travel to Toyama Prefecture today. Kurobe Gorge is one of the most popular destinations in Toyama. After 1.5 hours train transfer, we’ll visit sites around Kurobe Gorge by scenic trolley train. Around each station, there are exciting attractions such as a natural footbath or an exotic rock. Of course, the views of the gorge from the trolley train are spectacular and refreshing. After sightseeing around Kurobe, we will go back to Kanazawa by train.

Day 4: Shirakawa-go & Yamashiro Onsen
Shirakawa-go village (Gifu Prefecture) is registered as a World Heritage and one of the most popular tourist sites in Japan. The unique architecture in this area is called Gassho-zukuri (praying hands) in Japanese, A -framed building is one of Japan’s traditional architectural techniques for the construction of homes. You can experience Japanese traditions and classic lifestyle of Japanese people among nature.

Day 5: Fukui & Awara Onsen
We will move from Kanazawa today. Check out the hotel and transfer from Kanazawa to Fukui. Fukui is known for dinosaurs as many dinosaur fossils were discovered here and some of them were named from the prefecture, Fukui. We’ll visit Fukui Prefectural Dinosaur Museum in the morning, you can enjoy dinosaur fossils and other kinds of exhibits. After that, we’ll head to Awara Onsen by train. Hot springs will help to heal your body from the fatigue of travel.

Day 6: Tsuruga & Kyoto
On the last day of this tour, we’ll enjoy the traditional port town in Fukui.
Tsuruga has prospered as a fishery port town and we can see the changing history of this city. There are fishery markets where we can have fresh seafood, nostalgic brick warehouses used for trade with other countries in the 20th century, and Kehi Jingu Shrine where people have visited to pray for safety in marine traffic and big catch of fishermen. After Tsuruga, we’ll head to Kyoto by a bullet train or the next destination.
