Departing your Hotel you will visit the glittering Kinkaku-ji Temple ( Golden Pavilion) – covered with gold leaf, surrounded by green gardens and set on a lovely, tranquil pond. Following this it is possible to contemplate the iconic Zen rock garden at Ryoan-ji, the perfect spot for a meditative walk. Next visit Kiyomizu Temple and stand on its massive veranda for stunning city views. Lunch can be enjoyed at Nishiki Market which a history of over 400 years. There is a festive atmosphere as you walk and look around the market which has foods only found in Kyoto. Nijo Castle, which was constructed in the Edo period, is a registered National Historic Site, or Kyoto Imperial Palace can be included before returning to the Hotel.
